John's Island Public Parks

John's Island features the following public parks:

John's Island county park

John's Island county park is centrally located near the middle of the island, is free to visit and is equipped with picnic areas, a cane pole fishing lake, tennis courts, baseball softball fields and multiple open areas. It's the perfect location for a family reunion, community sporting events or some fun in the children's playground area.

The Angel Oak

The Angel Oak is a live oak tree (Quercus virginiana) that is estimated to be approximately 1,500 years old. Admission to view this spectacular wonder of nature is free. A gift shop is available on site (proceeds help support maintance and care of the tree). Spring and Summer events are often held under the Angel Oak. Check schedules often to experience music, dance and theatre performed under this imposing work of mother nature.
